But the German church baptism records lists her years of birth and baptism as 1831. She is believed to have been born in 1831 because a younger sister was born in May 1829, and Sophie's birth in 1830 would have been only 7 months later. )

(Her surname was listed as "Pergander" in the baptism record of her daughter Alwine.) She was baptized on 5 February 1831 in Alt Damerow, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).10,19,78,81 (She is listed as "Dorothea Sophie" in her church baptism record.) She emigrated on 2 May 1857 from Sassenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).38,39,60,82 She departed from Hamburg on the ship Gutenberg and had passenger accommodations on the "Zwischendeck." Sophie appeared in the census in 1860 in Menomonee Township, Waukesha County, WI.40 She appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.65 She appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.57 Sophie appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.38 She appeared in the census in 1910 in Tomah, Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.62 She was living in the household of her son Frank. She died on 22 December 1916 at the age of 85 in Wells County, ND.7,59,82,83 (Some family information and the MyHeritage and FamilySearch.org websites indicate that she died in Tomah or Norwalk, but Bill Scheer's research indicates that she died while living with her daughter Ida and her husband in Wells County, ND. Her funeral was held there at Concordia Lutheran Church and her body was shipped to Ridgeville Township for burial.) Sophie was buried on 26 December 1916 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.14,58,59,84 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Johannes Friederich Wilhelm BREHMER Sr., son of (Unknown) BREHMER and (Unknown) UNKNOWN (BREHMER), was born on 9 October 1822 in Sassenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).85,88,89 (His family history is recorded in the Monroe County Heritage Book, Article 786.)

In the baptismal record for his daughter, Alwine Josephine, his name was listed as "Wilhelm Bremer." In the baptismal record for his son, Johannes Friedrich, his name was listed as "Johannes Bremer." In the 1880 Census, his name was listed as "John Bremer."
He was baptized on 13 October 1822 in Sassenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia).89 He lived in Sassenhagen, Kreis Saatzig, Regierungsbezirk Stettin, Pommern (Pomerania) Province, Preussen (Prussia) in 1847.90 Johannes emigrated on 2 May 1857 from Preussen (Prussia).90 He emigrated from the port of Hamburg and landed in Quebec. He was in 1862 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.55 He was listed as Member Number 29 of the first 100 members of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in the church records. He was listed as "Johann Brehmer." He was also listed in the Communion Register. Johannes appeared in the census in 1870 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.65 He appeared in the census in 1880 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.57 His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1900 in Tomah Township, Monroe County, WI.38 Johannes died on 18 February 1901 at the age of 78 in Norwalk, Monroe County, WI.85,88,91 Newspaper Article dated 20 February 1901: "Died, Mr. John Brahmer, Sr., last Sunday evening, of kidney trouble from which he had been suffering for several years. The funeral will be held Wednesday at one o'clock at the residence." He was buried on 20 February 1901 in Ridgeville Township, Monroe County, WI.54 in the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery.
